Thanks for all your support!
In 1996, I was diagnosed with breast
cancer. Pink
Bow Productions was founded during my recovery after surgery. My idea was to foster
hope by creating beautiful things for other women to enjoy -- either for
themselves, or as a gift for someone facing a challenging situation.
I began making dolls, and named
them Tara
and Faith . The message that Tara brings is one of hope for a cure for breast cancer.
Faith represents the belief that we will conquer this disease and that our
hair will eventually grow back!! Jewelry, prayer pockets and many
more pretty things soon followed.
My hope was to sell my products to raise money
for a personal donation to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
I had no idea that within five years, through my efforts and those of my supporters,
we
would raise close to $10,000. And then to my surprise, we received a large
bracelet order from Nordstrom in 2003 which resulted in a $20,000 donation.
I have been blessed with a wonderful family and many incredible friends who have
made my journey in life fulfilling. But it has come time to concentrate on
my health and spend more time with my family. I have discovered scrap
booking -- and I am eager to compile my photos and memories into albums. I
can still be reached by email -- joey@pinkbow.com
Bless you all for your support and encouragement.
