Hello-
A week ago this Tuesday a special gathering and dedication took place which reminded me of how precious life and friendships can be. I have a friend who has been battling cancer for years. To show her how much we love and appreciate her- friends, family and even strangers came together in celebration of a spectacular backyard rose garden that had been created in 3 day’s time. To keep it a secret her sister had taken her out of town.
I think often of my friend’s amazing strength in rising to the countless occasions of her treatment, the knowledge of her cancer all the while keeping her footing steady and a positive outlook to her life.
How truly blessed I am to have her and my sister, a breast cancer survivor herself, in my life. They have both demonstrated to themselves and others how to rise gracefully and with strength of character to their particular situation. I only hope I am able to do the same should I ever be face with such a situation.
If you would like to be part of the cure for breast cancer, go on the web site www.The3Day.org, click “Donate Now, “ and search for my personal fundraising webpage. Or call 800-996-3DAY.
